My apologies to Consumer Title Services

Several weeks ago, I posted re: this co. When I originally got the call, because they were new to me, of course , I asked when they pay. He said that they paid on dis
bursement. After several days, I posted that they did not pay on disbursement. My reason for the apology is that I was paid and before 30 days. MW/Va indicated in her post that I was a little premature in posting. I totally agree with MW and really apologize to Julie. MY BAD

This co. is not associated with Platinum Title. Someone other than me is giving bad info also.

It looks like you also posted to Signing Central. Thanks for helping to clear up the confusion.

Yes, they are associated with Platinum. I asked the other

day when Consumer called me. I asked specifically if Dan MaNamar (sp) is associated with Consumer and was told yes. I had to dig it out of them, but they said yes. After a very lenghtly conversation with them, I agreed to do the closing. I was to fax or e-mail my invoice after the closing and was told I was going to be paid in aprox. 10 days after funding. I told her that I would be her worst nightmare after 30 days. She said she understood. We'll see.

Re: Yes, they are associated with Platinum. I asked the other

In a very angry phone call from Julie, she said they are not associated with Platinum. I wish Julie herself would clear up this mess.

Macnamara calls himself Platinum Closing Service

Collecting was a hassle, but I DID get paid.

Glad to hear someone got paid. Your right it is a hassle trying to collect from him. When I finally got paid 3 months later, the check bounced. Now I'm stuck trying to collect again.

Re: Macnamara calls himself Platinum Closing Service

I had a closing with these folks back in February of this year. The loan did not fund because one of the borrowers had changed jobs since the application and the underwriters wanted to review it. Then I received another call and was asked to redo this signing for additional fee. (The customer requested that I do the closing.) This was a large amount of paper. The second time the HUD was wrong and the customer called the loan officer, who instructed them not to sign. Next week, new set of docs (200+ pages each copy). This time everything was fine. Loan funded. Last trip was March 27. Total amount is $275.00. They claim to have sent money twice. I have not received anything yet. I had done closings for them before and gotten paid, but slower than average. So far, 1200 pages printed and three trips of 60 miles each. I emailed them agin this morning.

I did finally get a hand written check for the full amount. It took 122 days from the date of the original closing.

Consumer is assosiated with Platinum - Dan McNamara runs Consumers for his sister Erin Doskocil who owns American Title - Consumers do pay well but Dan McNamara still owes notaries and other signing agencies money owed through his former company Platinum.
