NCCI revisit
Got a call and after looking at the past threads, I'm wondering what they are paying now in the East. Their offer of 20 per for 5 mi seemed a little low. Anybody currently doing this.?

I also got a call and their signup packet...when I questioned them about their fees I was told "$20-$30 for 0-15 miles, the $20 assuming it's right across the street; anything over 15 miles is negotiated"...
Haven't decided if inspections are economically feasible for me in my area....

Their fees are one thing but the other thing is that once you have done an inspection for them and have submitted as much information as is humanly possible, they may have you go out again for "customer service" and resubmit any new information if available. Of course they don't pay anything extra so your $20.00 suddenly is split between 2 visits, i.e. $10.00 each. Not worth it to me.

I wrote that I didn't want to give them access to my bank account. Direct deposit of your pay is one thing. But you also give them authorization to DEBIT your account.

Yep...in teeny tiny letters at the top of the direct deposit
authorization -
"to initiate credit entries and to initiate, if necessary, debit entries and adjustments for any credit entries in error to my Checking/Savings account at the financial institution listed below..."
*IF* (and that's a big if at this point) I send the paperwork back I intend to cross out the language pertaining to debits

Looks like we're all getting hit. I've not worked with them but have it on good authority that they are trying to get 'cheaper' inspectors. They've lowered their fee & their 'old' people won't go for that. I wasn't given any mileage factor (tho' I asked & was told 'mileage is negotiable'.) Then there's the 're-chase' nonsense. Yep, times are slow, but not THAT slow... I'm passing on this....both for myself and for the 'old' inspectors.

I got a call from them. I didn't consider it legit. The amount they were paying was incredibly small and they ask for enough info about you--copy of DL, SS#, and background check--to steal your identity. They also have a contractors agreement, forgetting that WE are the contractors and provide the agreement. I've done work for a company called Leaseinspections.com, and they don't operate at all like that.
