Pacific Dox
Still no payment since May 3. Read on the internet last night that they are now advertising themselves (Alissa Thomas and Stephanie Shellhase) as REVERSE MORTGAGE SPECIALISTS. Isn't that dandy... Have to keep up with the current market I guess.

Good to know if one doesn't pay why should we think the new company will pay?

I think the name change is to deceive us. If you did not know it was the same company, you would take a chance and work for them, for no pay again. :-( SAD!

I think that means they are "reverse mortgage specialists" meaning they specialize in reverse mortgage signings. I did a signing for her yesterday for a reverse mortgage. She paid me immediately through paypal. I said I would only work for her if she paid me through paypal because of what I have read about her company and she agreed to do so. I have never had a company actually agree to do that, they usually just go and find someone else, but she did agree and I did the signing. I don't think that is a company name though, I think it means that they want to emphasize that they do reverse mortgage closings.

I'm sorry. What I wrote was misunderstood. Guess I should not have capped the name comment. What I meant to convey was the fact that I was (again...) searching for more info on Pacific Dox, and I came upon several local realtor and loan brokering sites (San Diego) where the owners of Pacific Dox had registered on these sites and stated that their company - Pacific Dox - specialized in reverse mortgages. The reason I posted this information was because with traditional loan closings so few these days, I feel the ladies of Pacific Dox are promoting their services as HECM specialists so they can attract new business in the now blossoming reverse mortgage business. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Bottom line, however ad nauseum, still remains that Pacific Dox is a bad risk when it comes to getting paid.

That is why I had her pay me through pay pal. I have never worked for her before yesterday and because of her reputation I required to be paid through pay pal to assure that I am paid. I received the receipt that it is in pay pal waiting to clear and I should have in my bank account by tomorrow. I have never used pay pal before so hopefully it will go smoothly. =-)
I am glad there is information out there like this though to help to protect us. I would not have known if it weren't for this site so I am glad people give out the information so we can do things to assure we get paid for our work.
If I have any problems though I will be sure to let you know....but so far so good.....
