If you do this long enough, you're bound to meet someone from your past at the closing table.
I had a closing this afternoon. Towards the end of the closing, the wife asked me if I still spoke German. I asked her, how did she know I spoke German. It turned out that she was a former student of mine in one of my college German classes.
She recognized me and knew who I was all along. I didn't recognize her at first because her name was different. And I taught hundreds of students over the years. But after she told me her maiden name I realized who she was. That was seven years ago that she was in my class.
