TonerPirate....Ripped off??
I ordered a re-furbed drum for my Borther MFC from TonerPirate.com on 09/03/2008. Of course, my credit card was charged pronto, but as of today, 09/25/2008, I have not received it. My e-mails to TonerPirate stay unanswered, and their phone line has a "generic" message, "I'm sorry, the party you are calling is unavailable at this time", and I can't even leave a message. I think the "Pirate" has pirated me?! Does anyone have any info or recent order history on this company? Thanks in advance!

Re: TonerPirate....Ripped off?? Robert, you're not alone.
I ordered a cartridge form TP last December and had the same issues you have had. Six weeks after my order and my payment was processed I received an email saying my order had shipped. I asked that they cancel my order and they refused. Thankfully, I had no problems with the cartridge, but I will never do business with them again.
I am working with a retired atty in SW Florida that is starting a re-man ink & toner biz. My vision is to bring affordable, reliable, re-manufactured cartridges with excellent customer service and a 100% satisfaction guaranteed to the people that need it most...those of us doing the printing.
I too have been burned by more than one 'pirate' and I am working on a solution.

If you are lucky enough to have a "Cartridge World" in your area use them. Just take in your toner cartridge or drum and they will refill and guarantee their work for half the cost of buying a replacement. I take mine there all the time and have absolutely no complaints. Generally takes about 15-30 minutes or you can drop off and pick up later. They do all kinds of cartridges/drums plus inkjet ones if you use those for other types of printing.

"Tonerdoctor"--bad experience also
"Tonerdoctor" out of Mississippi sells refurbished cartridges on E-Bay. It took 3 weeks for them to initiate shipment of my purchase and I think the only reason they finally shipped is because of my initiation of the Resolution Dispute Process at E-Bay and Paypal. I had emailed them 5 times and each was ignored before the initiation of the dispute process. The product appears to be ok. It was packaged without the pull strip on the cartridge so toner was spilled everywhere. I will not purchase from this company again.

LD Products
I had good and bad experiences with several vendors of remanufactured laser cartridges. After doing business with them for years my source went sour. After reading favorable comments from several notrot members I tried LD Products. Their prices are a bit higher but the product is far superior to what I had experienced before. The cartridges are so clean and new that they truly seem remanufactured, not just refilled. The web site is ldproducts.com and they always seem to have an e-coupon for 10% off. Just my opinion.

Inkjetsuperstore.com
I have used http://www.inkjetsuperstore.com for years now (at least 6 years) and have NEVER had a problem! I highly recommend them!!! I get my cartridges within a couple of days after ordering (this week within 2 days!) and one time I had to return one because.. yes it didn't work and they sent me a replacement immediately!! LOVE THEM!!!
