Got a call today from someone who needed a notary w/$500,000 E&O. Does this even exist? Why would a company need someone with that much E&O?

Yes, I've read others profiles on this site and there are those who have that much E & O. I figure the assignment is dealing with high value property - really high. But I'm guessing here. I made the decision to increase my E&O to $100k over a year ago. It has and continues to bring me business. Hmmm....I can only imagine the annual premium for that much E&O. I would need to double my signing fees to cover that additional cost : ).

I also have $100,000. The person actually asked for a referral, but I was unable to give him one b/c I've never heard of anyone carrying $500,000.
