Adobe 9.0 Reader...slowing down my printing.

Ever since I downloaded the Adobe reader I am now able to print documents that once required to be print in "print as image," however now ALL of my printing has slowed. Can someone give me some suggestions on how to fix this problem? My printer keeps pausing between every few sheets. It used to flow ..

TIA!

Susan

"If it ain't broke". I am the furthest thing from a

certified computer wienie, but Adobe Reader 7.0 works fine for me (except as
set forth below) and I have been afraid to download later versions.
The only problem that I do have is when dox are scanned as such as
(8.123 x 10.518) or 8.728 x 14. 239) and I have to manually print letter
and legal separately. If someone could tell me how to fix that , I would be
eternally gratefull.

I think someone had the same problem on a previous post and it was suggested to not have the print as image selected on the print setup. I accidentally selected that one time thinking I was supposed to and what a printing nightmare....

I had a lot of problems with Adobe Reader 9.0 & uninstalled it, and reinstalled 8.1.4.
It was also discussed that the newer versions of Reader don't need "print as image", so get rid of that because it slows everything to a snails pace.
