Any USNA members?
I recently joined the United States Notary Association. I originally bought an embosser from them and it was the cheapest I could find but excellent quality. It also came with a lifetime warranty, and when I did have problems with it they replaced it free of charge. I'm now a full member through the rest of my commission.
Are there any other USNA members here? I wanted to know what others opinions are on the organization. Their site doesn't seem to have much but it was a reasonable price for membership and they aren't as obnoxious as NNA.

May I suggest you join the American Society of Notaries. They are headquartered in Tallahassee and are the oldest non-profit organization for notaries. Their membership fees are reasonable. Their information is usually accurate and you can call them with any questions and get a knowledgeable response.

Something funny I also had to mention since we're discussing organizations... I used to get constant ads from the NNA. Until I wrote them a very nice letter, which basically said I would love to join your organization, but in today's economy you should consider offering a membership which is reasonably priced, because the average notary can hardly spend $52 a year to be a member of an organization who sells overpriced supplies and training that they can't afford anyway. I haven't received an advertisement since!

US Notary Association worth the $ ..
I belong to a number of professional organizations, many within the same "industry" such as notaries public, paralegal and attorney.
I continue to renew my US Notary Association membership because of their educational eNews and national information. I find their materials both timely and informative. Granted they don't send out weekly eSpams. However, they give you news affecting notaries public without a constant stream of paper and email marketing to buy-our-products, pay for our seminars, pay EXTRA to get news for notaries who work in different fields spam.
It never hurts to try it for one year.
