Beware of 21st Century Legal Services
I wanted to give a heads up re: 21st Century Legal Services. I know there are some posts about late payments, no payments and bounced checks. I recommend not accepting any "modification" signings from this company. I've been called by them several times, but the borrowers were always skeptical that they are getting scammed out of 3 post dated checks with no intention of modifying their loan so they cancelled our appointment. I told 21st Century that I also felt their modifications are a scam and I don't want any part of it. I called the FBI and apparently there are complaints on the Consumer Affairs site (and other blogs), he is forwarding this case to the FBI in California. He indicated that I could be at risk of being liable in this scam since they are telling me to portray myself as part of 21st Century Legal team and I am accepting these checks on behalf of the company. Here's a link to some complaints: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/finance/21st_century_legal.html Accept these modifications at your own risk!

Please djmobilenote, you should not down grade any business or company if you do not understand what the business is all about!! And another thing, our buisness is legitimate. We are not a loan modification company, we are a Legal Service and is not against the law to collect money from the clients. Also, if the client is going to re-modify their loan, they WILL get a 30 year fixed rate for the 30 years, not for 2/3 years like all of the loan mod companies do!!! thanks for reading.

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE! Bad spelling by a company is one give away. False statements are another. In many states it is against the law to take money for this type of "service".
Be afraid too - scam, scam, scam.
Also, now hearing they don't always pay.
Murphy Brown - are you blond?

Is it illegal to collect a portion of money upfront if the company is working under or with a lawyer to do this mods? It is not!!! So before making judgements, you should check the facts and get to know the company more.

Well Jba/fla, in all honesty, I do not think that it is appropriate to bad mouth a person. What does it matter if a person is blond, or did you mean to say blind? For you to tell a person that they misspell and are unprofessional, what does that make you? I do not think 21st Century Legal Services is a scam. Thank you for reading.

I’m curious as to exactly what position you hold in 21st Century Legal Services? You state: “our buisness is legitimate.” and "we are a Legal Service." Are you an Attorney? Are you the their legal counsel or just their spokesperson here on this board?

I was wondering if she was blond because of the loud-mouthed Murphy Brown of TV fame....sort of fits this one, doncha think?
This one is just one of many who must be required by contract to rush to the defense of this "company of the hour". Appears they never sleep....LOL

ALL OF YOU COMPANY SHILLS NEED TO DO YOUR
own research and get your OWN facts straight before you come here spouting the virtues of your practices - it *IS* illegal in the State of Florida to collect money up front for loan modification services - ask the Attorney General or any of the companies who are at this moment being sued for doing what you're doing...
My understanding is that it is also illegal in NY and NC among others, and CA has instituted tight restrictions on this practice, allowing it in only certain circumstances....further, there is pending litigation in almost all other states to cut this practice off at the knees.
So please, spare us your pompous statements about your company and their service for the public good...we do our homework...you should do likewise.

I would disregard all of the post on signers not getting paid. I spoke to one of the reps. earlier and asked them what was going on with the postings of notaries not getting paid and they explained to me that it was a bank error. They were very patient in explaining that they switched their bank accounts and it was the bank's error of everyone getting bounced checks. They also told me that they were working on getting everyone new checks. It was also explained to me how they have new management in their appointment setting department and they are now going to be paying their notaries within 3-5 days of the signing instead of 2-3 weeks. I would be glad to accept any assignments from 21st century.

If someone posted here that they worked for 21 Century Legal Services, and that the check they were paid with bounced, I see no reason why that person should not come here and post that the matter had been resolved. To all others…Especially you anonymous posters….We don’t much care about your opinion as to why the checks bounced (obviously bad management) or how happy you are to have the unequaled opportunity of working for them. Heaping praise upon, and singing their laurels is just a not-so-subtle form of advertising, and I believe such posts should be deleted.
