DO NOT do work for FOX Signing
Bad news, they lie and don't pay.

The last signing I took was literally around the corner. I walked. It took more than 100 days to get my fee.

Had either of you checked, you would have seen the horrible history of this company. The orange search button is your friend - please remember to use it.

I knew about FOX when I accepted the signing. There was no travel cost.

Then you're kind of a bonehead
You know they're a deadbeat company, but since there was no travel cost that somehow made it logical to accept the signing?

Bonehead yourself !!
It happened to be a perfect way to meet a neighbor. We're now friends. What's with the unprofessional language??

Re: Bonehead yourself !!
In my opinion any Notary or 'mobile closer' that knowingly works for a deadbeat Signing company is as equal as they are of being a determent to this entire profession. By working with these thieves, you are their partners in crime. You contribute to and facilitate their continuing existence. No Signing Service that is legitimate, and actually pays their contract Notaries can compete with one that does not. Every time they cheat a Notary you helped them do it. If not one of us (notaries) would work for them, they would be gone. If you want to meet your neighbors, take them some cookies.

Les, if I wasn't the professional that I am
I would BLAST you publicly and let the smear fall where it may. I am hardly contributing to the proliferation of deadbeat companies and to suggest that I am lowering myself to a certain level is beyond insulting. If I took a signing from a "$40 outfit", your reply would then be justified.

Man, now I'm starting to think there's a bone in that head
Todd my friend... you didn't take a signing from a "$40 outfit" you took a signing from a $0 outfit.
I wish you the best, and I don't want to call you names, but think about it for a minute... We all make our own business decisions but SOX's reputation is well established.
Two problems working for folks like them #1 the risk you take on of getting stiffed. #2 The ethics of taking payment when you have fellow notaries that have been stiffed by them. Of course I wouldn't turn down such a payment --if by some mistake I took the job-- but you gotta know that IF you get paid, you're getting paid blood sweat and tears from those who didn't.
Not name calling (well mabey a tiny bit, but just to be cute) and not trying to judge or run your biz for you... I just hope to give you a little food for thought.

Re: DO NOT do work for FOX Signing - Mr Triantes
I believe the members of NotRot are intelligent enough to use Signing Central and don't need you to incessantly post "laundry lists" of the comments.

Who made you protector of the newbies? If people want to learn the history of a company, they should be responsible enough to do the research themselves. Sylvia has contributed more than most to this board and helped make it what it is. She's also run a successful and respected signing service in FL and is a respected notary there.

Re: Sylvia_FL
And who gave you the authority to decide the new members of this board were too ignorant to see "Signing Central" on the message board. Or on the welcoming page on the site:
Signing Service and Title Company Listing with Notary Ratings Also under the Signing Central tab is a list of signing services and title companies known to contract with notaries. Many of the companies are rated from 1 to 5 stars. That rating represents the average opinion of the company it is matched to by the notaries public on our site who have chosen to rate the company.
I think most adults are savvy enough to check it out. Obviously you weren't.

I APPRECIATE people like you, Notary Guy! When some like you is just trying to help people, they shouldn't excoriated: 'no good deed goes unpunished' - sheesh! Not everyone who uses this website knows it from A to Z!

Re:I agree
I have been using it for some time and do not know it completely. The intention is important .... people trying to help are just trying to help.
I agree we should take more time to learn but right when you need help ... you just need help .... at that moment telling go learn is not helping..... and every one when they started had to go through a learning curve and needed guidance and needed help.
Appreciate every one who helps and my thanks to them

Then you're too dumb/lazy to be successful at this anyway.

Doesn't even need the orange search button. There is "Signing Central", easy enough for anyone to click on and check a company out.

Not me, I am tired of it, over and over and over again.
Folks, learn this...you can link your posts to appropos companies, and when you see a link icon next to someone's first post, read the post and click on the "link" button. You can see all the comments from earlier postings about that company.
