Dumb question about NotRot
Many members have their names underlines (linked) to a NotRot website. Mine isn't. Is that because of my member level?

When you create the message, there's a box next to your name that says something like "Add link to my profile". Check it if you want a link to appear. I think it's "sticky" - IOW, will be remembered for your next message.

I have chosen not to link to my profile because I want to be able to tell how many "hits" my profile has had from companies not just curious people on the forum, like me. =)
P.S. The only question that is dumb is the one that is not asked.

I couldn't care less about the number of hits
If a hit doesn't equal a job call, then who cares? I know where the job calls come from, because I ask.
I link my name (my REAL name) to my posts on all forums, to increase my visibility and accessibility in as many ways as possible. I am VERY easy to find, have absolutely nothing to hide and don't try to, and own every word I post on the Internet (ha - sometimes that's quite the exercise in self-discipline too, and that's not always a bad thing.) =)

I am certainly not trying to "hide" from anyone, and I can
see the "hits" in connection to "calls" so, for me, I feel it is benefical. I can understand why not everyone would do it this way. When I first found this site, I did it this way because I liked the idea of being able to "see" how many companies were looking at my profile; answering the question, "would I get any work from this site?" Of course now we all know the answer to that question, but I have grown accustom to this way, and it works for me.
I do not know of another site that offers the count of "hits". Thanks, NotRot =)
