Fees

I am new to this notary business and was wondering if anyone could give me a clue as to what is fair to charge for my fees. Any help is greatly appreciated and if it matters I am in Florida

The orange search button is your friend. Also research message 33325 for a wealth of information.

Page 9 of the governor's manual addresses this.....

The only correction is the fee for marriages, which I believe is now $30...

You can charge a reasonable travel fee provided the signer is advised of that fee in advance.

Re: $125 ...for what??

he didn't say "loan signings" - he said he's "new to this notary business " - those fees are set by statute, with modest travel fees allowed.

Your state always matters.

You have to understand your state laws in detail before you attempt to do anything for a fee. Read and re-read your state handbook until you know it backwards and forwards. It's your lifeline.
