What is the normal to charge for a wedding to be the notary?

Aixa, Unless your offering a package deal of some sort, with extras like photos,ect. the maximum charge to marry someone in Florida is $30.00.

"117.045 Marriages.--A notary public is authorized to solemnize the rites of matrimony. For solemnizing the rites of matrimony, the fee of a notary public may not exceed those provided by law to the clerks of the circuit court for like services. "

I think the Court Clerks now charge $30...so your fee would be $30 plus whatever additional fees for services, time and travel you want to charge.

I officiate weddings all the time. When the business slowed down I started my own little wedding company and it continues to grow. If you add little things like wedding certificates etc. you can charge a lot more than 30.00. You just need to be a little creative. I will only charge 30.00 if they come to me which happens every now and then.
