Gas prices
I'm curious as to what is happening outside my little corner of the world. Gas here for regular is running 2.06-2.19. Seems to be going up and down daily. What's it like outside my coccon?

Gees--do you think their 1st Q profits weren't high enough? Prices have been inching their way up here--about $1.90/reg. at Wawa.

Tax increases driving the price of fuel in CA
Now before any of my CA brothers or sisters jump on me to let me know that the per gallon fuel tax did not go up ... Yes, I know that however, the sales tax increase caused the fuel to go up, there has been new "inspection fees" and "environmental fees" imposed on the retailer, but it is not listed on the pump as it is not a per gallon tax, but is being passed on to the consumer anyway. That is worth about a dime a gallon.
the cheap stuff is 2.21 this morning, and Chevron 2.29

$2.49 , but I use Super. Dropped about a dime sometime
last week - just when I needed a fillup, then shot back up next day. I've been holding off, hoping for another drop, but I'm running on fumes, so that's that.
