I have a question.

My husband recently got his commission and acquired his Title license. Can I ask him to do closings for me as at times the docs get late and my schedule is thrown off. (he has his own E&O)

Or should I ask him to get registered first with signing company.

Thanks for your time and guidance.

My husband and I work together. When I sign up with a company I send the required documents for both of us. I only send my W9. That works for almost all of the companies that hire us. Until you get that done, I would just call the company that hired you and tell them you are sending your husband. They will probably ask for some documetation but it should not be a problem.

Always check with whoever hired you if it is OK to send your spouse to do the signing.
Also, instead of a W9 get yourself an EIN, can do it online in minutes.

No, need for a company name. The info is on the IRS website.
