A Pennsylvania notary who served time in prison on a contempt of court charge last year, had her notary commission revoked on Jan. 12, 2009, by the Secretary of the Commonwealth.

Her arrest in March 2008 stemmed from her refusal to hand over documents to the Office of the Attorney General in the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas regarding her business practices as a notary and owner of the Penny Pincher Press. The Attorney General alleged that Montelione was illegally practicing law.
