Obama's refi speech/planworking in Midwest
There has been such a rush of signings that my favorite NSA from St. Louis hasn't had time to even log on in the past couple days. Not a peep.
Or could it be that he really doesn't want to talk about falling into second place behind the *gasp* oh the shame of it, Cubs. As of tonight Cubs 7-4 Cards 8-5.
I've had quite a bit of work myself but not so much that I can't take a moment for truly good news.
Dodgers swept the Rockies... two sweeps in a row in the last home stand. Now off to Houston to beat on them too.
Oh, the standings... LA in front 10-3 Padres a game behind, the rest of the division 5 games behind.
Na-na-na-na-na-na.
Don't worry Dennis, it'll get better...up until the playoffs when it really gets ugly.

Re: Frontrunner???
Anybody who has stuck by LA through the 90's is exempt from being called a frontrunner for the rest of his life. The Millennium decade hasn't been that much better.
Oh, the Cubs, yeah I guess that's kinda frontrunning...but I'd be just as happy if anyone else bumped you too.
Actually it'd be good to finish 2nd in NLC...probably get the wildcard, play the Dodgers in the first round and get the pain over with.

Dennis
I noticed that your Cards moved up to the top of the NL Central for a few minutes today- while the Cubs were still playing. Well, you'll get used to second place.
By the way, I wonder if there were any notaries in the crowd today.
(Brilliant tactic used recently by Bob_Chicago to keep it relevant)
