just so ya know
I don't carry water for the Cubs it's just that they're the only ones in striking distance at the moment.
I don't even dislike the Cards most of the time... and Pujol's is a good guy... but back in, was it 05?, when they creamed my Dodgers, ending our hopes, then didn't win a single game against the BoSox, I'm not even sure they scored a run... well that irritated me.
Other than that they could be my Central faves. In fact, I hope they win the wildcard so they can be the first team my Dodgers beat in post season.

"Pujol'"
Gads, every time I see that name it brings back memories of a mis-begotten youth

You Think Tanking Against the Red Sox...
...irritated you? You should have been on this end of that debacle. And it was 2004 (I cheated, I looked it up online!)
BTW, Cards have a grabbed a 3-1 lead on Chris Duncan's 2nd dinger of the year.

To Make This Thread Legit...
...did I mention our elective body here in the State of MO has once again failed to bring forth meaningful legislation to raise our paltry Notary Public fees of $2.00 per signature to a more reasonable level? In case anyone (besides you & me) is keeping score...

Dennis, it is amazing that states with so little
allowed per act have notaries.
$.50 - $2 - $4 - $6
Awful.
$8 to $10 is a good figure. Certainly not $25.00 per seal like someone proposed awhile back.

Re: the Red Sox...can't really blame the Cards for that
nothing they could do, the Red Sox just get white hot once every four score and seven years.

Let's See...
...how many score & years is it now for the Cubbies?
BTW, 4-4 in the bottom of the 6th.
