Renewed my comission, and need a recommendation...
I need to get new stamps I like to have two, one as a primary stamp and one as a backup stamp. Also does anyone know if the embosser plates can be replacedor does one need to buy a wnole new embosser. Yes, I do know that an embosser is not a necessity in CA and yes, I do know that it needs to be inked to be recorded. Regards

Agreed...I ordered some stuff late in the day a few weeks ago and the whole package was shipped out the same day.
I buy MANY things online, and NotRot has probably the best service I've seen yet.

This is the best place for one-stop notary shopping. They are fast and affordable. I also recommend the elite stamp, it's my favorite stamp. I get the cleanest impressions everytime. In addition, I also recommend the vision stamp for those times when you have a very small area to fit your stamp, it allows you to see exactly where your stamp will go BEFORE you stamp over any text.

Re:Recommendation... I wouldn't shop anywhere else but...
I've been promoting NotRot to anyone who will listen for several years now. I believe that the products are the best around and the prices also. I also like supporting a company that supports me and Harry and NotRot have been consistently there whenever I needed them and they are nice people: I like small family-run businesses. I don't even post much anywhere else. I was looking for specific product recommendations. Thanks HB/CA for the review and recommendation and thanks to all who took the time to answer.

Everyone seems to have been able to answer your question on the stamp. On the embosser you should be able to replace the plate. I know I have an embosser that the plate can be replaced, I am assuming (maybe wrongly) that all embossers have interchangeable plates.

Embosser
I replaced the plate in my embosser - I uses 'Napa Valley Engraving' 3031 California Blvd., Napa, CA 94558 707-224-7724. I just sent them the old plate and they made a new one for me. This was a few years ago, so I don't know if they're still in business or not, but you can try calling them.

Check the supplies section here and you'll see that the embosser insert is sold separately.

Charles,
I agree that the Elite stamp is good BUT the Brother is in a class by itself. Sorry can't help with the embosser.
