The borrower leaves me in her house..

I had a signing the other day..The bo was to bring funds to table. She did not have time to make it to the bank..Called title of course he tells me she can overnight it. But she really wants to send it with docs. I suggest that I meet her at the bank it is right on my way back to my town, I will meet you there and you can give me the check. I do not mind waiting a couple of minutes. So we finished signing and as I was packing, she grabbed her keys and says I will meet you there! She rushes out the door before I realized what she was doing! She leaves me in her house with her kids!! They were about 8 and 10! As soon as I saw her leave I booked it out of there!! This lady runs a daycare in her home! I don't think I will be sending anyone with kids there!! Incredible!

I had a similar situation as well. The borrower was going to leave me alone in his house while he went to get the check. He was told he could send it overnight as well, but didn't want to pay the added expense to send it. He started walking out, telling me 'brb" I got up and told him I'd much rather follow him to the bank and wait in the parking lot. Sometimes they forget we are strangers no matter how pleasant we may be.

One time I showed up and middle school age boys answered the door. Said I was to go to the living room. I saw the dining room and said I was going in there. They went upstairs and commenced making a lot of noise as only boys that age can do. After a short while, no parent enters. I yell up the stairs and no one can hear me. I am not about to go up there. This was before I had a cell phone so I couldn't call the house. After about 15 minutes I pack up and leave. I let a note on the table that I was there. When I get back, there is a message from the parents ... they were on their way, why didn't I wait? Me, stay alone in a house with young kids and no parents? Not this girl.

People are unbelievable at times! I've encountered this situation a couple of times, and have the borrower call LO or tc to see if wiring is an option. I have also followed them to the bank while they get a check.
