Untapped Market

I have noticed there are no agents in a community near me. It is just outside of the default 20 mile radius, and I would really love to get more calls for that area. Any suggestions? Multiple profiles are a no-no, right? Thanks.

Per the FAQs:

============
Can I have multiple listings?

NO.

A single notary should maintain a single listing only. Alternatively, a group of notaries (a husband/wife team, for example) can have a single listing. Under no circumstance, however, should a notary appear in multiple listings.

In addition, you should use the address that you are most frequently available at or driving from.

20 miles is the default on the search form, but people can select up to 75 miles.

I get a lot of calls from over 20 miles ....

If the person searching for a notary can't find one using the 20 mile default, they can expand the search using the drop down tab. You are not giving the person searching for a notary enough credit.

Try something. Google "Mobile Notary -put the community name here-" and see what happens. You may be surprised. You may not get any business from that community because there is not mobile notary business there.

dang, it wiped out my long winded post

I've got no idea how this site works and have never gotten responses to my inquiries.

I disagree w/Glenn abuot the 20 miles. Unless you're in an unpopulated area, the user probably is going to look at those in the default area ... and unpaying individuals will show up before those of us who pay but are 22 miles away. My general coverage area is A LOT further than 20 miles out.

AND, what about the purge .... I've got listings in my area not updated since 2007. I've got a girl listed in my area who is no longer a notary. Her listing is COMPLETELY useless... I believe her phone no longer works ... I'm guessing she moved out of the area.

AND what about all the Maryland notaries showing up in my area ... and I know they don't cross the line.

While I get calls from this site, more and more people are telling me that they found me on one, two ...

Having high numbers appears to be counter productive if many of those listings aren't accurate ... to my unknowing mind.

I know for a fact there are lots of signings to do in this community. A friend of mine, who has recently moved from the area, but must still be in a lot of Title companies system's, still gets calls at least 3 times a week. And for our rural area, that is a lot.

Yes, it depends on your area and saturation. n/m
