Vision Compliance for inspections ...
What fees are you getting? Did a search and found info as recent as 8/08. They recently contacted me and quoted me $30 for up to 15 miles from me, $35 15-20 -- said they found me on Notary Rotary. When I quoted them $50 for an inspection across the bridge (toll fee) and about 16 miles from me, they didn't call back on that one. What's everyone's experience with them? TIA!!

I did a couple for them last year when things were quiet. They paid as agreed, but I would not work for them again unless they piad more.

Same here. I worked for them when things were slow, but they called yesterday and I turned them down. They ask too much for too little.

Same here. Fees were so low. They actually involve a bit of work. Doing the inspection, taking the photos, uploading the photos. They used to pay my fee but they are so low now not worth my time.

I do a couple a month for them. They pay as stated. The inspections I have done were early AM when I probably wasn't going to be doing notary work anyway. If they are close and not interfering with good work I figure why not earn a couple extra bucks. Once you have done a couple and figure out the format they are easy and fast.

And, did you get any notary work from American Title
because of working with Vision Compliance? Or, were you already on American's database?
One of their statements was that I'd get on American Title's database (if I wasn't already) by working with them and filling out their application.

I do some occasionally, and got one call from American Title - if I remember the fee was low.

I like American Title. They do pay, so I'll work for them when I haven't had work all week, and even if I do have work throughout the week I'll work b/c it is repeat business. Good co.

only within 5 miles of me 40 days for payment
Plus the last 4 they called on they could not ok my fee and a week later they wanted me to clean up the mess of the person who did the inspection.
I only take them if I'm desperate and have nothing better to do. I charge 40 for them.

Re: only within 5 miles of me 40 days for payment
I generally get $30.00 within a 5 mile radius and feel that it pays for a tank of gas. Always do them fist thing in the morning and have actually found some of them to be fun.

I did a few for them when things were slow for me...I only accepted the ones which were within a few miles of my office and charged them $40 per inspection. Uploading the information and pictures to their site actually took longer than the actual inspection. When they call me now, I have to refuse because they can only authorize $30, which really isn't worth my time. Also, they always pay but usually it's 45 days or more from my experience...not worth all the hassle & waiting for $30...JMO.

Remember these inspections are quick and pay low. But hey it's work. Try and get close inspections if you can.

Too bad this company is cheap and uses the scripted lie of "I'll have to talk to my supervisor and get right back to you" when you ask for a reasonable fee. They never do "get back to you." Evidently they do indeed always find some chump willing to drive an 1 -1.5 hr. round-trip for their $30 fee.
I've done a number of them for their fee when nearby. It's easy enough and pleasant work. But even then their $30 is scraping the bottom.
Well, they've got a business to run and they want to do it with the cheapest cost possible. The consensus here, obviously, is they're too cheap. Sooner or later that is going to impact them, especially as word spreads on forums such as Notary Rotary that nobody wants to work for them for that fee. Just as big an irritant --at least to me, especially since I got 4-5 calls from them in the last few days-- is that scripted lie. Next time, I'm of a mind to ask immediately where the inspection is and, if it's any further than 5 miles, rudely hang up. Got to send them a message somehow.
