@#$%@! Loan Processors @##$%$!!!

First signing today... a call at 8:45 need a rush Spanish signing at 10:30... well nobody had confirmed that 10:30 so non-borrowing spouse had gone to work... had to wait till 11:30 to hear that it would be at 2:30...then at 12:30 "could we make it 2:00?"

@#$%&!!!

Then we get there, non-borrower needs to go and he only needs to sign the TIL and DOT... oh and a couple of TC docs...no problem... we sign and off to work he goes.

Oh, but what have we here?? A middle initial for the wife (borrowing spouse) that's not on the driver's license.

@#$%!!!

So I send her home, 2 minutes away but of course that's like 2 minutes in football, to get her Passport... hoping beyond hope... meantime we're (the RE Agent, she's there and a bit peeved) talking to the lender about something else and mentions this and they inform her that they prepared the docs from her DL....

...yeah right, a magical changing DL... turns out the Passport has all her names and saves the day...

So we dig deeper into the package... what's this?? A name affidavit for the non-borrowing spouse...surprise surprise surprise... of course he's long gone back to work.

!@#$!!

Now I'm late for my next signing... a RM @#$%&*!!

Now I'm not a total dummy, I always start with the HUD and the note and TIL to make sure the numbers are good before I spend an hour signing a package that isn't going to sign. The problem is, with a RM there's so many things you can trip over.

They like it all, we start signing and signing and signing...

Well past bedtime we get to the amortization sheet and final loan figures. Turns out FHA has raised the margin on RM's 0.75% which cuts their credit line in half. Of course there's nothing about the amount of the credit line up to this point.

@#$&*^%!!

Call the LO, she doesn't answer. Tell them their options... they want me to pack up and leave. Start packing and the LO calls back. We go over everything...it is what it is... they decide they'll sign after all. But they think somebody should have told them before now.

Ya think???

Finish that about half an hour after I was supposed to be a aformentioned BO's house to get name affidavit signed. Call him, he's got kids, doesn't want to see me at 10:30 or 11:00, please come tomorrow, but after I get off work (but in time so I can make the FedEx drop).

@#$%&^!!

I've got a couple of good Netflix here...don't know when I'll watch 'em, this weekend isn't looking good...and perfect summer weather...but I'll be working.

Poor, poor poor me...poor poor pitiful me.

@#$%^!!!

But...

...on the bright side your Codgers are now tied for 1st in the West. Although it has to be said that saying you're 1st in the NL West is somewhat like kissing your sister. Last year there were FOUR teams in the NL Central who had better records than the eventual West champs. But then who's keeping track?

Re: But...

Yeah, our division was a little weak last year, but who won it? Manny and the Dodgers.

The Padres will do well all year but they're genetically incapable of finishing on top...watch and see.

High of 72 here today but it'll warm up tommorow.

We've got some beautiful weather. It was windy earlier in the week which plays havoc with my allergies, but other than that, perfect.

You're right SOP... and none of the problems huge, it just all lined up perfect and by the end of my day I was grumpy. I'm better now, I think.

Maybe 1 in 10….. I get a loan package that’s on time, maybe 58 pages, everything correct, no junk lender docs, borrowers informed, and ready to go….. I think WOW….that was EASY!
72 degrees? No shoveling the driveway? Lucky you!

Well, been there many times as I was a loan processor for 16 years. I was not one of "those" loan processors either. :-) It is a tough business.
I noticed you live in Watsonville. I went Monte Vista Christian High School in Watsonville. I lived in Aptos at the time. I live in Maui, Hawaii, though. I know that area well.
Enjoy the gorgeous day!

Re: Christine

Christine….I hope you get some snow tomorrow! Only a couple of inches…just so you can see how the rest of us live. Besides it would make headlines! Maui….I’m so jealous! Went diving on Molkini Crater a few years ago…Not a Notary… or LO… or Title processor...or in sight…Just a few Sea Turtles. I’m still jealous!

Re: Christine

Snow is the very reason why I live in the Mojave Desert. Except... it can snow here, too. But at least it melts.

I love to watch the snow fall... and I love just how eearily silent everything is when it falls. It's beautiful.

But back when I was in college, I opened my front door one day to find the snow halfway up my door... I was done. This was in northern Utah where snow is a regular part of life and nobody shuts down for even heavy snowfall... but this particular storm shut everything down for full day. It was bad and I spent the day just digging my self out from the door 15 feet down the sidewalk. My car? Hah. It was buried for 3 days thanks to the snowplows.

I decided to move back home to the desert. I just can't handle the freezing slushiness of it all anymore for 5-6 months every year.

Did an island cruise a few months back and fell totally in love with Kauai. Ahh, if I could just afford it I'd be there in a heartbeat.
