what is too old

received request for signing of a deed of trust(split signing) spouse has already signed.Deed of trust date according to s/s is 2006.Ack will be dated as of date of signing.Reason for this signing according to instructions Deed was lost.I am looking for the lost hat in the expense report.Any comments

It ain't your problem. You notarize signatures, not documents. What can or can't be done with the deed isn't our concern.

I've been asked to do that a few times as well - DOT never got recorded and no one knows where it is. TC produces a copy of the original DOT - I go and get it signed and notarize for the current date.
