1st Inspection Job
Hi...have my first inspection from Vision Compliance (American Title). I did a search, but are they any helpful hints? I have one BIG vacant lot (7+ acres) that are in an area kind of difficult to get to...but am getting paid a little bit of a premium. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

ME/NJ is correct about payment. They do pay but they
take longer than most to do it so just be prepared. The checklist that accompany's the inspection request really tells you all you need to know. Just double check the list before you leave the site because you can easily overlook something if you aren't careful. I usally take extra photos and then just submit the best of the bunch. Vision is good about being available for questions so don't worry if you have to call them once or twice from the site to ask questions. If you're going to meet with someone at the property site they probably won'tknow who Vision is. I usually tell them I'm representing the company (name on your paperwork) then they relax. If you need to call me about this feel free. The number is in my NotaryRotary profile. One more thing - not sure if you have to measure anything but when I do I take my measuring wheel.

Don't forget to put safety first. If you are going to a remote area where there is no one around be very, very careful.

I did a business inspection for Vision on 6/10 got paid on 7/10. Had to take 3 pictures and download them and fill out a questionnaire which took about 20 mns. Fee was not huge but I could schedule it on my own time so overall I'd do it again.

Lucky you.. Visions pay policy
When the inspection is approved by client(1-3 days) your invoice is placed on 30 day wait. On the 30th day a check will be cut. The last steep is a 5 day waiting period before its mailed.
Same process for American Title work.
So if you got a check 31 days after service, you're lucky.

Same here...payment turn around time is approximatley 3 week..direct depost like clockwork..and they even email you a notice that the payment has been deposited. I wish they had more work in my area. They will pay more than most inspection companies, espcially if you travel around 20 miles out of they way.
