HP toner
Just wondering about good places to buy HP toner for a good price. I finally got my 2055dn printer, but the toner is very expensive. In 2 1/2 weeks I already went through the double sized toner (cost $165). I know this may have been discussed before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. E-doc signing fees are staying the same, so I want to keep my costs down.

I use only remanufactured toner cartridges through LD Products/4 Inkjets.

Do the remanufactured ones work well? Does your printer accept them?

I've been using remanufactured from LD for several years. The cost savings are amazing. I can't imagine using "new" cartridges--I'd be broke! These work fine. Contrary to what some say, using them does not void your printer warranty. LD has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I've had one or two issues, and they sent a replacement. This may sound like advertising, but I have no financial motive in recommending them. I'm sure there are other reliable companies as well. LOL

I ordered two remanufactured cartridges 05X, and they were $48 each. That is a big price reduction. Hope they work out.

Re: LD Products vs. refill your own
I always refilled my own and would buy empty cartridges periodically. Recently I needed new cartridges, about $23 ea. for my printer. Toner about $11-12 ea refill. LD Products had the cartridges already filled for $25 ea if I bought 6. Knowing I could refill those cartridges a few times each, where do you think my money went?
It is all about operating efficiently and as frugally as possible. Less expense = more profit.
Plus side of this all?: LD has great packaging that I love; old cart. now has spot to be stored safely until needed.

LD Products + refill your own
I buy LD toner cartridges and refill them as necessary. I can refill anywhere from 4 to 6 times for each cartridge.

I have the 2055x. When printing are you setting the print property to "Econosave"? I print at 600 & Econosave and the cartridges last much longer. You can't tell the difference in the print on the page from 1200FastRes.

When mine is on Economode the print quality is not very good. It comes out much lighter and not as crisp. I've been printing the borrower's copies on Econo only.

I have that particular printer, and usually go through one cartidge in a month. Amazon.com sells the CE505x cartridge for the HP 2055 for $136.99.

Re: ebay store: Weship4adollar
Like you Julie, I have bought exactly TWO OEM cartridges before I realized: A) buying OEM will break the bank, B) remanufactured are 1/4th the price, C) no difference in print quality. I can also vouch for "weship4adollar" on eBay. They're good sellers.

I use www.tonerrefillkits.com for my HP and my Brother. Cost for the HP is $42.95 and it last longer when you fill yourself. For the HP you need to get a special kit for $12.95, but only need to buy that once. For the Brother, no special kit is required. Never had a problem and you get a small package of M&M's with your order.

Re: HP toner LD Products reminder
I use LD Products and love them. They ship very fast. Remember if you use them to Google "LD Products coupon codes" and up will give you a list of websites that have coupon codes for 10% off your order there. I always do that and it does really add up.
