Nations Direct is now calling from an "Unavailable ID"

to offer $60 for edocs 25 miles away. I started ignoring their calls and now they're calling from blocked phone #'s!
They used to pay my rate and all was fine, over the past month or so, they started offering unacceptable rates. I turn them down again and again hoping they will get back to paying a fair fee.

Don't pick up unknown ID calls- One is Settlement Corp

But they do have ID #s that come through most times. Most unknown #s are slaes calls.

Ignoring calls wouldn't work for me....

I've had several companies call me for work whose numbers are blocked or unavailable, and I've found this out by taking the chance and answering the phone when I see "unknown" or "unavailable", expecting to hear a telemarketer but, surprise, it's a company who has a signing for me. So now I answer everything...I can always just say no..

Agree. The only # that I give out is my cell # ,no sales

calls there.
I receive many signing orders where the call comes through
without a #.As you said, if I don't like the caller, I can decline the job.

Re: Agree with answering all calls.

I have one company who comes through without a number, but they pay well for their closings. Pays to answer all the time.

Re: Ignoring calls wouldn't work for me....

Since my cell phone is my primary business lifeline, I answer all calls. Schedulers are often calling from private cell phones, and I understand why they don't want that # shown. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't get any telemarketing calls on my cell phone.

I just got a call from them too. The number came through on my caller id. I told them what my fee was and she said, "Ok...I'll get that appoved and call you back."

:0( I don't think they're going to call back.

sigh

Re: Ignoring calls wouldn't work for me....

I used to get telemarketing calls on my cell phone. Most were in Spanish, for some reason. Once I listed my number on the Do Not Call list the telemarketing calls stopped. Now, all the calls are for business or personal.

I agree with answering all calls, I only use my cell phone and do not get sales calls on it.
I had Nations' various phone #'s stored in my phone so I could ignore them only.
Now they have resorted to "unavailable #'s so they're harder to ignore.

I always answer the phone!

Why would you not answer your telephone? This is business and you can always say no! You never know who is calling and in these tough times why take the chance of a loosing a closing?

Re: I always answer the phone!

Me too. I take my phone with me everywhere. I even will turn off the shower and answer if I hear the phone ringing.
