New/old/any notay that know's everything:

This is worth reading. Many years ago I read this and you know what...it has stayed with me.
I am a notary. Period. Proud to be one too. Commissioned by the Governor. That is enough
for me.

Wonderful article!
From the time I got my certification I have said that the certification courses are a waist of time and money. Legally we can not explain a document. If that is necessary we make a phone call to the proper contact and they speak to the borrower. End of story.
All the signing companies need to be educated about the legal responsibility of a notary public before they insist that we become certified. NNA is the worst offender with the highest costs.

Notaries incur enough expenses to operate their business. Certification is unnecessary.
