Poetic Justice, Every Dog Has His Day, Etc.
Seems Mr. Madoff is dying of pancreatic cancer in his North Carolina federal prison cell.

I hope he lives a long time to pay for his deeds. There were several people who committed suicide after having family fortunes ruined. Just think, the guy from Enron died of a heart attack before he went on trial--didn't seem fair.

I do volunteer work for an organization called Hadassah. It's been in the news lately because that ***** Sheryl Weinstein was CFO at the time and now, she wrote a book about their affair. I hope she gets indicted too! Hadassah lost $90,000,000!

She ought to donate all the proceeds from her book to try to make up for some of what was lost!

I think she should be prosecuted and made to give all the profits from her book. She was the CFO. She left in 1997 and received almost $500K in severance and vacation pay. The original accouint was opend with $7,000,000 which was donated by someone in France who insisted that they use Madoff. Then between that time and the time she left, another $33,000,000 was invested with him. Don't tell me that as CFO, she didn't have any influence over where the money was invested!

For what Madoff did, I don't think it would be poetic justice for him to die that quickly after going to prison anyway. I hope he lives a very long, miserable, life.

And we taxpayers are providing his health care - his
cancer treatment, and depending on the specifics, he could go through many of the options. Maybe it's at the wait-and-see stage...
I'd rather see him at Attica or Reikers (sp?) with state resources, rather than his cushier federal prison - but that's just me.
He's getting off pretty easy, for being so evil.
