Update on Bruce (Sylvia's husband)

I know many of you have asked (phone calls, emails and PMs) to both myself and Sylvia. I talked with Sylvia this evening and she just hasn't had the gumption to post anything, for obvious reasons. Unfortunately her optimism was short lived. Bruce's doctors are recommending him for a transplant, as his heart is too weak to sustain any surgical procedures. Sylvia will be absent from the boards for a while (understandably so), but will return when things settle down.

If you wish to send cards to Bruce, I suggest sending them to his home:

Yes, Paul, thanks for keeping us in the loop, and all our love to Bruce and Sylvia. I think you meant in your post that Bruce is too week for the transplant surgery....all my prayers and thoughts are with them both.

My understanding from speaking with Sylvia the last go-round is Bruce's heart is too weak for him to endure any corrective open heart procedures - they were even hesitant to do the stent they did as they felt it wouldn't help....I think transplant has been his only option all along.

Thanks for being there for them, Paul. I don't know the whole situation & was praying for better news. I will continue to keep them both in prayer. We know from past experience that Sylvia is absent from the board when she is taking care of her beloved Bruce.

Bruce and Sylvia will also be in the prayers of our intercessory group here in Louisiana. There is no distance with God.
