"Mobile Notary Workship Slated"
I received this article from Google Alerts. Maine notaries, you may be getting some competition in your neighborhood.

That could be a nice tidy little $400-500 hour and a half slam dunk evening garner. Better than the oldest of all professions, or a good signing day without having to stand on your head, dealing with lender issues and driving to Egypt and back. What happened to all the fun and joy in our business?

oops...the world's oldest profession is not
prostitution.....if you think about it....it's salesman(woman). The sale always comes before the delivery of goods.

Hmmm. Guess I should've read my paper that day. This is our state notary support organization, who are very helpful to ME notaries. I went to one of these SA classes a few months ago (just to see if I was missing anything ME-specific in my knowledge base) and there were less than a dozen attendees. It is good for making ME notaries aware of the signing agent possibilities and the basics/specifics for ME, but I have learned so much more from this forum. NR Rocks!

Sounds like a great idea to me. I'd like to see more local training classes offered in every state, other than the infamous XYZ.
