hp3330

Does anyone know how to reset a printer? I have a hp3330... In the middle of printing it has stopped and it reads on the printer: PRINTING DOCUMENT
On my desktop it says: ERROR IN PRINTING

I have turned everything off and on... even left everything off all night. It comes right back on saying : PRINTING DOCUMENT.
Also if I try to print from the glass it says: DEVICE Busy...
Any suggestions? Thanks.!

G-Morn Kathryn,
You might try this HP consumer forum. Perhaps you can find an existing thread or start one for your issue.

Did you go to the printer section under the start tab

and cancel all documents from printing? I'm not sure if that is what you are talking about, but it could be worth a try.

Re: Did you go to the printer section under the start tab

I have this listed in the forum but thank You! And yes, I went to the tab and cancelled all docs. It still says : Printing Document!
I even tried installing a new driver.
Thanks.

Call 800-474-6836 ( HP support#)

You may get help if your printer is still under warranty. I called for an issue and was helped even though not in warranty. The technician tried to sell me the extended warranty but I declined and he offered the free support that one time.

Did you restart your pc, too?

Best to try it with printer turned off, then restart, and plug in again. Good luck!

Wow! I had tried EVERYTHING and I called Paul... He called me back and told me to unplug my cord to my computer, which I had already done! BUT this time he told me to take OUT my cartridge , unplug the cord, shut the cartridge door. Then put the cartridge back in!!!!

IT WORKED... Thanks Paul.... I bow to you kind sir.

When I "met" PAW I quit subscribing to a high dollar

tech forum. Saved me a few $$$. He's tireless and very generous with his advice.

A big "Second" to that!!

There are probably too many of us to count who he has directly helped over the years in some way. And the indirect help we get here on a regular basis is priceless. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Paul! I'm sure we couldn't express it enough!

Does that mean I should start charging consulting fees?

Don't worry, I'm not about to do that again. Too many headaches.
