Re: Pretty sure Indiana requires a TPL to do loan signings.

To become a Notary in Indiana, an individual must: Be at least eighteen (18) years of age and a legal resident of the State of Indiana. Additionally, the applicant must file the notary application, along with a $5 application fee and proof of a notarial bond, with the Secretary of State's office. For further questions, contact Sandy Gerster, Notary Clerk, at (317) 232-6542

That came from the Indiana SOS website.
So you must be a legal resident of Indiana.

Unless your the 2 notaries

That live in Henderson KY that hold a commission in indiana (which is illegal) and the state of Indiana doesnt do anything about it. Then you can get a non resident TPL. You are not supposed to be able to close the loans but you can prepare the settlement statment if you work for a title company.
