A day off, turned down 2 jobs
Lots of snow out there and more to come. Callers offered more money but I don't think I am willing to risk my life. The blizzard part starts later today when the winds start.

Don't you have a SUV 4-wheel drive? Can you tell me how much more?

$25 increments. JoJo MN spent hours on the road trying to get home last night. Even my snowblower gave up on me this am.

Snowblower?
Hmmmm ... I vaguely remember something about that, in a former life.
All you snowbound folks, enjoy it while you can. Stay safe this holiday season.

Re: Snowblower?
I'm heading to FL next week, Paul, for the holidays. Want me to bring along my snowblower just to remind you of those wonderful old days?? Going to put it to use today since we're getting a smaller version of what the midwest is seeing. That's my only winter sport. ;

Yep..took me over four hours to drive what is normally 1 1/2 hours away. Couldn't see the edge of the road...every once in a while would see the center line about 10 feet to the RIGHT of me.
For the first time in seven years I had to just turn back a closing. I skated thru three intersections and ran into a snow bank just here in town. My closing was over 45 miles away and there are blizzard warnings. I love this profession; however, like Zana said, not worth putting my life on the line for it anymore.
Be safe, everyone!!! Have a nice day.

I've seen the reports on tv--blizzard conditions throughout much of the midwest. Brrrrrrrr! Stay safe everyone!
