Ampro National Services - Jacksonville FL
Did a signing for them on 10/1. I noticed they had almost universally positive reviews so I accepted the job. Two months later I'm still waiting for payment. I called and spoke to Phil on Friday 12/4 who said he would check and call me back. No phone call yet. I called again today and their accounting department extension goes straight to voice mail. Not a good sign in my opinion.
I know many of you have made favorable comments about this company, but this was the first signing I did for them and frankly: I'm not impressed. To be fair, I never should have broken my "No Signing Companies" policy. Never again.
I tell you man, these signing companies are something else...

If we all...
If we all refused to accept signings for Signing Services would they just... go away?
Nawww, the newbies would take them, and for $60 (or less). Nuts.

Re: If we all...
This is just my personal policy. I wasn't trying to preach to anyone. We're all familiar with the drama associated with signing companies, and I choose to just not deal with it. Business was very slow for me in the first week of October, so I made an exception and took the job. It was my mistake.
As for newbies, they can have all the $60 jobs they want. Just my opinion, of course.

As you know (and I'm preaching to the church singers here I know lol) is that those taking the $60 signings bring it down for the rest of us.

CAUTION WITH AMPRO
(1) 60+ days waiting on payment (and counting), (2) Accounting extension with this company goes directly to voice mail, (3) Unfulfilled promises to return my phone calls regarding an outstanding invoice when I dial the main line, with the rap of "What's the borrower's name? We'll look into it."
Now another notary in this thread says they've been waiting on payment, too. This routine is all too familiar to me. It makes me wonder if this signing service is having financial problems, and if I'll be getting paid.
