Argggg!! Stinkin Lenders!!

10AM appt. It now noon and still waiting on final HUD. Why on Gods Green Earth wont they hire enough employees to get the job done?!#$% This is really aggravating. The roads are horrible here and getting worse as the day goes on. Anyone else waiting and waiting?? I feel so bad for the title company. She has been sitting in the office all day for this. She has relatives at her house waiting for her Frown

The pressure is on for banks to get their pipelines moving. But that's hard to do when they have 3 people doing the work of 10 before they were all laid off. Rates are historically low, causing the LO's to get backed up on apps.

We all know that the second the loan is approved, the closing is scheduled. Umm - how 'bout that HUD? Anyone care to look at that a little and NOT wait until the last minute? No one else seems to know that the closing is scheduled but the signing company and the borrower.

Having been in lending, the timing of the whole picture aggravates me to no end. They could do this SO much more smoothly. I'm in school and happen to be writing a paper on the problem. When I'm involved in a closing, I work VERY hard to maintain my composure and not go postal when I hear of stupid delays that DON'T have to happen.

Considering all the lenders on the landscape, you would think SOMEBODY would have the process figured out. MMmm - I'm sure that day will come.

had one the other day...LO told BO a ridiculous time

for the closing like 'between 10 to 2pm' (aren't those cable co hours...anyway) ....the closing didn't happen until 5:30pm that evening because of the LENDER!

The BO's had came in from TN to visit with family and they had to leave to another town some 40 miles away for a family gathering which started at 5pm...well, by the time I showed up with the docs in hand, they looked like they were going to hog tie me to a post and whip me!

Thank goodness they turned out to be very pleasant and patience folks. But man, did the Mr use some interesting swear words for his LO...

....this def has been a week to remember to say the least...

Waiting for docs for two closings. Both delayed. I feel so sorry for the people at Title. They were hoping to be gone by noon. Gotta love our world! Happy Holidays all.

Had 2 loans postponed until Saturday due to problems getting out the loan docs. The good thing is that it is 58 degrees and a sunny beautiful day.

I think four hour windows - on any delivery - are now a thing of the past. The new window is now all day.....8am - 5pm. I'm switching cable carriers and getting a bundle package and that's the window I get...8am - 5pm. Thank goodness I don't have to be home because my son is 19 and the expert techie of the family. Even though I'll be home he'll oversee things because knows what's what and I'm ancient and ready for the Smithsonian so I wouldn't be much help, except to sign the work order.

I've had a couple this week that were waiting for final approval of the HUD from the lender before releasing it. But, yeah, they want to get it on the schedule right away, regardless if it messes up anyone else. We should all be on standby so that their deal gets signed. Yeah, right! Just an occupational hazard we all have to live with...

This HAS been an interesting week. I think I've had three signings that accounted for about seven different appointments between them, what with last minute rescheduling. I hate that at end of month. You miss out on other work (if only they'd let me know sooner...), and spend lots of time spinning your wheels. I felt much busier this EOM than my ledger of completed assignments would suggest. Another occupational hazard, I guess. Wink

Don't get upset. That's bad for your health. Give them a time frame. If they don't have them by that time, then you can say I gave you a time frame and you said OK and you didn't meet it. I didn't break my word, you did. I was only late once this week and that was because the scheduler told me the docs were ready and when I called the signing coordinator she was very upset with the scheduler for telling me that and she told me she would get them as soon as possible and she did. I was only a few minutes late and I had advised the borrower of this and he was ok with it.
