Computer help - please

Every so often I do something (but don't know what exactly) and all the headers disappear at the top of the screen. I actually like that, but once in a while I need to have my headers back to do something else. The problem? I want to know how to get rid of the headers again. Can you help me find that switch/toggle mechanism? Thanks in advance.

OK - I got it

F-11 changes to full screen - no header, no footers - just a full screen. If you want the headers, just move cursor to top and it will reappear; move it down, back to full screen.

I feel so illiterate sometimes.
