Re: LMAO! Love it Les.
I did sign up and adjusted my fees accordingly. Good company to work for and pay on time. It's really a matter of a simple adjustment of your fees. This is to use their new system. Take your fee up to whatever you want to compensate for the charge.

Re: LMAO! Love it Les.
If they can’t market their product/service in such a way as to pay their overhead, and their contract help (notaries) in such a way as to make a profit, do you really want to work for them? Sounds very professional. (Oh Gee Ms. Notary…we called you for a job…so you need to pay for part of our phone bill”)
It’s NOT up to me to ADJUST my fees to accommodate their expenses.
Work for them if you want. Me…? I think I’ll pass.

Absolutely worth it--even though it doesn't cost you anything. They are now using ValuAmerica platform for doc access. They tell you to add $5 to you signing fee. It was never expected that the notary pay the fee. Call Julie Berman in client relations & she'll explain it to you. I love this co.! They pay a fair fee & now pay direct-deposit.

MW - I am so done trying to explain this!
A long timer wrote me and asked me to stop explaining it because she was really enjoying the paranoia that the NR-ers have about this company. Why? Is she mocking those who will not work for them? NO. They are filling her pockets and she is laughing all the way to the bank.
So, to everyone who feels repelled by these download fees: You're right. DON'T do them. Run. Allow signing services to take these assignments and broker them to you. Stay away. Leave them to successful notary signing agent dummies with years of experience who would rather pay $6 to download on a $175 job instead of taking them at $100 or $75 from a signing service for the same exact thing. Those idiots are making $45-$100 more than you are on the same jobs being brokered to you by an SS, but AT LEAST YOU AREN'T paying that darn download fee. Stupid vets.)
(Les, you were, as usual, very witty! Loved. It. And, for many companies, so accurate!)

I'm with you on that, Brenda. I have found you just can't explain some things to some people.

Brenda, I respect your judgment, a good review coming from you makes me think I'm mistaken about this company.
As I said, I know nothing about this outfit, but it seems like a bizarre way to do business to me. If someone asks me what I charge for a standard e-doc refi I say $125. I don’t raise my prices from one vendor to another. It’s difficult enough for me to try and remember all the deadbeats out there, without trying to have different prices for different companies.
In the unlikely event that this company calls me for a job, I’ll say…. Just send me $125, and take your overhead expenses out of the remainder of the fee you were going to pay me. Or they can call someone else. If I miss one from time to time I don’t really care.
