I didn't know that

Flagstar Bank is now conducting Paperless Closing, i.e. esigning. I believe they are partnering with Fiserv. Is anyone aware of this?

Yes, I got an email not too too long ago advising of this. They also sent a video to watch and learn. I watched it but have never been called to do one yet. I'd say its been 6 months or so ago.

Who sent the video to watch? Is it available online? I just received the assignment for tomorrow. Is it remotely similiar to Amtrust?

I like Amtrust better, Flagstar is a little more confusing

if you have not done one before.

Re: I like Amtrust better, Flagstar is a little more confusing

and with Amtrust, the sneaky part is that the document opens in one window, while you have to scroll down in the outside window to get to the "signature" area...

Re: I like Amtrust better, Flagstar is a little more confusing

I have done 25-30 AmTrust eSignings and just one Flagstar eSigning and agree that AmTrust is a lot easier and less time consuming.

Flagstar has a link for each individual document, which really slows down the process. AmTrust combines many of their documents into one file. The time difference to individually eSign 20+ documents vs. 5 or 6 documents is a big factor for me. I would much rather do an AmTrust eSigning than a Flagstar one.

Yes, you are correct. I will obtain assistance on the navigation tomorrow morning.

Not necessarily true - I received this update on 12/07/09

Date: 12/07/09 Type: Added/Removed Programs

News: AmTrust Bank was acquired Friday, December 4th, by New York Community Bancorp (NYCB). Due to the nature of this acquisition and the steps required to effect a proper and orderly transition, it is necessary to immediately suspend all registration and rate-lock activity for a period of time in order to permit us to properly address all of the related requirements. We expect to complete this process as quickly as possible. Although we will not be accepting new registrations or rate-locks during the transition period, AmTrust Mortgage Banking will continue to process and fund all rate-locked registrations that are in-process at the time of this notice, in the normal course of business
