Nations Direct
I recently had a very poor experience with this company. Besides continually low balling the fees. Recently I accepted a signing through them. Docs were emailed to me. I was not informed when I accepted the work that there were approx. 30 pages of fax backs. Anyway, as it turned out the borrower was short to close. The signing never happened. I was told I would be reassigned the signing once they had determined the proper course of action. I never heard back from them so I called to follow up. First I was told the second closing took place 4 days after the first was to occur. I asked why I had not been called. I was told that I would need to talk to "scheduling". When I was connected I was lied to and told the signing had cancelled. When I mentioned it closed on a certain date all of a sudden they saw it in their computer and acknowledged it. I was told it had been assigned to another because their database was sooooo huge. I told them to delete my name

Your experience with them is similar to almost every other Notary that has worked for them. The smart thing you’ve done is tell them not to bother calling you. JMO!

There are many notaries that won't take work from them. As long as they can get someone to work under those conditions, it will continue. You might want to see the post a few posts down on "Faxbacks".

Try to accept what your peers are saying, experience counts. I have there number programmed into my phone, when they call, my phone ALARMS, SHAKES and forces me to hang it up!

I can understand that with business not being good that you might take a little less than what you want to do a signing. However, Nations Direct is not only a low ball company, they also are not a totally up front company to deal with. I'm happy to know that you asked them to take you off their call list.

They wear me out! The do lowball, VERY, but unfortunately, someone is taking them. When they do finally agree to my fee, I know it is desperation for them, then there is so much follow up and waiting for clearance to drop, and then they nit pick you to death. If a page doesnt go thru on the fax... I only sent 30, you mean one didnt make it!??!?!? I had a notary seal turned to the side, they wanted me to restamp. I think that looks worse!! But, for the fee they want to pay, and all the extra hassles, they are not worth it. Then, it is usually 45 days for pay. They do pay, though, I do have to hand them that. They probably did not call you back because they found someone to do it cheaper!!! They dont care how much experience you have, or how good you are, they want to know how cheap you will do the job!!!
