Non Payment of Invoice
I have been looking for payment on a closing I did over 60 days ago with Todaro Notary. I have sent them several messages via e-mail and have left several voicemail messages. They are not very professional in not responding to any of my messages. I am looking for advice in how to go about getting my payment from them. I see it has been a problem before for several notaries and I think something or someone needs to get this addressed. Please advise. Thank You, Sal DeLuca

Sal, since you appear to be the latest victim,to quote:
" I see it has been a problem before for several notaries and I think something or someone needs to get this addressed"
It looks like it will be up to you to go after them. Look into a small claims suit against them, call the title co.

Find out if the loan closed or if the Title company has paid the SS. Become familiar with the orange search button and how to use it. You will most likely be able to get answers to your questions from previous post. I only mention this because this question/problem appears almost everyday. Good luck!

Todaro Notary is a deadbeat co
I had a problem a few months ago with them...non payment issue. I first contacted title co and confirmed that Todaro was paid for that assignment. Then sent a collection notice to Todaro via certified mail...which never was returned. I have now proceeded to file a small claims case against them.
I also suggest researching them on SOS website. You can then forward all claim info to the agent of record.

Agent of record is Vanessa M Todaro. 10803 Lake Ave #301, Cleveland, OH 44102. Incorporated on May 1, 2007. I quit working for them long ago after waiting 60 days+ for payment.

Re: Todaro Notary is a deadbeat co
A piece of advice - I learned this from one of the lawyers I used to work for - if you send a demand letter for payment for any service, be sure to send it certified mail, return receipt requested, send one of the same letter by regular mail AND send a copy of the same letter to yourself. Once you get YOUR letter back, DO NOT OPEN IT. Just put it in your file and when and if you have to go to court, you take that UNOPENED letter with you and that will act as some proof that you sent it and that the letter hasn't been altered. And, if they don't accept the certified letter and it comes back to you DON"T OPEN THAT EITHER. Just put that in your file too and keep the notice that it was not picked up. (They usually allow five days for these to be picked up and then they are returned to the sender as "undeliverable". Also, put on the letter you send out, the TRACKING NUMBER for the certified receipt mail number. (if you don't keep a supply of these, then don't seal the letters until you get the tracking number then write it in on ALL copies. This will give you a bit of leverage in a court of law when the client comes and says "I didn't receive anything" or "that is not what my letter said!" Get the jist? Its called CYA.

Great advice . . . and exactly how does this effect one getting paid from super-deadbeats such as Todaro?

I did a closing for them on October 30, 2009 and still have not been paid. The number listed for Andrea Sim, apparently the owner, goes to a message indicating voicemail is disabled. I get the same message for her cell #. I have left my number numerous times with no reply. I must suspect they have gone out of business, considering no one is answering the office #. BEWARE, and look at all of the other complaints for this company!
