Preliminary Change of ownership report

Last Friday night I had two signings, both 'rush' jobs. The last signing had the above mentioned 4 page document for the borrowers to fill out. This isn't the type of document that can be filled out in 5 or 10 minutes - it takes more like 30 minutes or more. The borrower did not have to sign this, and it was well into the evening - they wanted to go to bed. They were angry at the escrow company for including this at the last minute, and decided they would fill it out later and send it to them. This did not need their signature, nor did it need to be notarized. Why wasn't this given to the borrowers ahead of time , so they could fill it out at their leisure. ....and why would I be expected to set around for over a half hour when I didn't need to see them sign this, nor do anything with it besides just mail it in...
The Borrowers left the next morning for their vacation back east. This morning the Client insisted I call them - have them find a fax machine somewhere - Have me fax them this 4 page document - Have them fill it out - Have them fax it back to the Client and have them mail the original to the Client .

I guess I learned a lesson from this - No matter how tired the Borrower is - or how insane the document is - stay there until it is filled out!

Oh - I didn't mention that the borrower's wife had baked cookies all day to take with them, and the house smelled totally yummy!! ....AND I'm on a diet!

??? The PCOR's I see in CA are always 2 pages, not 4. And if it's not a sale, only the first section needs to be completed, and that takes all of 2 minutes.

It was a refi - the first two pages were 'Trustee' to Owner, the last two were the opposite - Owner to 'Trustee'. Maybe it would only take two minutes for an extremely experienced person such as yourself, but the borrowers and I are not so sure. I suppose if we'd taken the time to read thoroughly through the doc we would have seen the message that they'd only need to fill in the first page of each set...
As it was - they didn't feel comfortable trying to figure it out, nor did they have the patience at that time of night.
