how do i get more calls?

I just started doing closings this year. I have registered with every agency on signing central. I live in Dallas, TX but I'm not getting many calls for closings. I just wanted some pointers on how to generate more business. I am laid off and I wanted to start doing signings full time. Any advice will be welcomed.

A cursory review reveals some of the reasons you're not getting calls - a) there are 183 mobile notaries within 40 miles of you; 2) numerous NotRot members with premier memberships are all listed ahead of your basic listing, and would be called first; and 3) your profile on NotRot is BLANK!!

Why would anyone want to hire you (even for general notary work) with no information about your experience or capabilities? You say you want to do this full-time, but you will not likely see nearly enough work for that to happen in the foreseeable future; many veteran NSAs have been struggling for quite some time with the downturn in signing assignments.

What you can do, though, is present yourself as though you're serious about your notary responsibilities. Invest in your business and upgrade to a Premier membership here for better exposure, and fill in your profile so people/companies have a reason to call you. If you want to be treated as a business professional, you need to present yourself as one.

My definition of full time work as a notary is doing an average of 3-4 closings each day. That's equal to 60-80 closings each month, assuming a 20 workday month. Since I started my business, my best month clocked 25 closings - very part time in my definition.
