Re: Affidavits Gone Wild: Ha....
Come up with a couple more and you might have what would be common to a Texas notary in a loan package!

Are you saying that you can't trust a Texan to tell....
the truth unless you swear them in or swear at them???

Bob: Yep...Maybe you've got it exactly right!
The point of my post is that I have seldom done a package where I didn't need at least 15 notary acts...and quite often there are 20. At $6 per seal Texans usually burn up their signing agent fees nicely (if you want to avoid paying SE Tax...I personally don't think this is necessarily a great idea, but...I am usually not always the one folks agree with. )

I know i sound silly, so no one needs to get after me for this, I thought it was six for the first and a dollar after, so it is actually six per stamp, i am hooping and hollering if it is!

Here are the fees:
Taking the acknowledgment or proof of any deed or other instrument in writing, for registration, including certificate and seal: (1) for the first signature 6.00 (2) for each additional signature 1.00 That's per document, not per loan signing appointment, if that's what you meant.
