Does this HAVE to be so hard???

I accepted a RM signing for tomorrow,
Can't get the docs until I set an appointment with the BO.
Phone number for the BO is actually the LO because (I presume) they don't want me talking to the borrowers ahead of time, so I need to set the appt. through the LO. I thought I made it abundantly clear in my profile that my job is to get the signing done, NOTHING more. I don't analyze, judge, condemn or praise the deals people make. People have asked me if they are getting a good deal. My response is and always has been "I don't read the documents other than to look them over to see where you need to sign".

So guess what? The LO has closed up shop and gone home for the day! By the time the LO gets around to calling me (if they do), the SS will be closed and I just might be able to get their operator. If they don't call until tomorrow, other commitments that would have been rescheduled tonight, won't be rescheduled and I'll be busy. THIS is the type of aggravation that is not needed. There are other events in my life besides waiting around for this LO to call me back. If the rest of my time for tomorrow gets committed due to no docs, then I guess the RM doesn't happen and that will make ME the bad guy?! This is the first part of the RM process and the docs are date sensitive.... grumble...

Just venting here because I LIKE this SS... they actually pay.

Why don't you just tell them 10:00 a.m.? If the borrowers want later - work out the time tomorrow since you'll have the docs.

I considered doing that to get access to the docs,

but I don't want to have a stack of docs printed up if the LO calls too late and I'm otherwise occupied.

What a pain! It reminded me of a situation I ran into a while back. I had accepted a RM assignment, called the borrowers to confirm, and showed up a little early. The borrowers were nervous & asked if I had talked with Linda, the LO. I had no knowledge that the LO was even going to be there. She called & got nasty with me, telling me I had "upset the borrowers" and that I was to wait for her outside. There was no way I was going to do that. I sat patiently & waited for her to arrive, completed the signing & left. I had called the tc afterwards, explaining that I had been treated horribly, and they were in agreement that this wasn't professional on the part of the LO. Needless to say, I never got any more work from that lender, and could care less. I would not accept work under those conditions.
It is apparently the procedure of some of these companies that they don't want anyone to contact the borrowers except them. Oh, well!
