I am sure Prosperity didn't mean to advertise for the spammer's cause but that's what happened nonetheless...there're going to be some who click thru and join thereby helping the original spammer. Too bad.

I have had a free listing with Merchant Circle for a couple of years and it has brought me a few new customers. Unlike many of you I do have a business location open to the public and I find this helpful. It brings my business up on most of the search engines and customers are free to rate your service. These ratings show up on the ad. Merchant Circle has tried to sell me upgrades to the free listings but I have continued with the free basic listing.

Yes. I went to the site and registered.
The info you used to register is posted (?) for 30 days for free.
Then you pay $$$$ of the level of service you think will help you.

I've had a free listing with Merchant Circle for over 6 months. NO, you do not HAVE to upgrade after 30 days. My free listing has appeared near the top of search engines many times (2nd or 3rd spot), without my having done anything to facilitate it. It doesn't always stay there but it has appeared there. Not a rip off at all.
