Negretes Notary

I have done a couple closes for Negretes Notary. I just received an assignment from them, hung up the telephone and a friend that is another local notary called me to ask about Negretes Notary. She said she could not do the close and referred me and they told her I was not available when I had already accepted the close. Negretes also called another friend of mine wanting to pay less money for the close. So be careful as they want the close done as cheaply as possible and they will not call back to let you know that they have selected a notary that is less expensive.

Wow, that's not very professional or fair to the notary. I thought they were a good company to take assignments.

Remember a few months ago...

Tony came on here "wondering" how people would react if he dropped his fees? It's here, but do your own research for the message. I don't need to do so - I do remember.

because, as others have said, this is not the Tony we know.

By continuing to shop after she's accepted the closing?

That's not trying to save money, that's a dirty way to do business if it's true.

How do I say this? Negretes has been for years one of the BEST there is! He knows what he’s doing, he has many years of experience, and he pays on time! He is one of the few that I will “discount” my services to. Yes… I want him, and his ilk, to stay in this business! He is a boon to us all. Yes, I’m biased! I have never met Tony, but I have talked with him, and happily worked for him. I would really like he, and other honest, real, knowledgeable, people like him, to stay in this business. If you are a newbie…he’ll “walk you through it.” An “old hand” he will TRUST you. He has always paid me! Promptly! No excuses! I always get a check and a thank you from Tony. He is one of the very, very, very best!
I say:
TONY….THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Debbie…PLEASE…. Go to the nearest gas station, and put a quarter in the air pump machine. Then somehow pump up hour head! You NEED some MORE air….in your head….Just to help you resolve some of these judgment problems you seem to have. EVERYONE is trying to save costs these days. Anyone with any business acumen would try and get the most talent for the least money possible. Tony is not a fool. I say that with some hesitation…. As you say he has apparently hired you in the past. He must have been grave lapse in judgment! I am gratified that I now that this laps has subsided, and he is back to his ‘old self’ hiring Notaries that actually know someth

I personally think it “out of line and abusive” to anonymously get on a chat board and trash someone that has been a paying member here, and in this business for years. Luckily Tony has a sterling reputation with notaries that have actually worked for him, and take such anonymous drivel with the credence it deserves. I apologize if my post bruised your sensibilities.

Your apology isn't sincere

So Les, you are saying sue_pa, Lee/Ar, SueW/Tn, Pat/IL, Bob-Chicago, Calnotary, TedDog/CO and many others have no validity when they post, whether it be good, singing praises, couched in terms of love and generosity of spirit or just plain complaining about an issue? All because they don't link their profiles?

This has been discussed so many times as to why people don't link. You must be tall - always looking down your nose below you.

Re: Your apology isn't sincere

You may take my posts anyway you want.
And yes, if I ran this board to post something one would have to identify oneself. I give little credence to anyone that needs to remain cloaked in anonymity. If you are going to speak out, do it standing up. I find it incredible that someone that may work for, or own say, Nations Direct, an admitted $45 Signing Service, or SOX, or some other deadbeat Company, can get on this board ‘anonymously’ and say untrue, and slanderous things about their competition, like Tony, or Sylvia, or many others that actually pay well and have an excellent reputation. Just as someone hidden may post kudos, and accolades of the most astounding nature, about a heretofore unknown company. Do we take these phantoms at their word? You may do as you wish. I for one give credit to those that stand identified.

I find this hard to believe....

I have done signings for Tony and will continue to. In this economy maybe he IS trying to save money, but who isn't? What I can't believe is that Negrete's would leave you hanging on an assignment - not like them, not professional.

I have not commented ina forum before, but I had to chime in about Negrets Notary. I am located in the Philadelphia area and Tony is wonderful. When I first started singing Tony was one of the few that has given me a chance. When I moved and did not receive payment, he personally made sure that I was re-issued a check with no problem. I also can not believe the Negrets would be unprofessional in that manner. And I too say Thanks Tony for all the conversations and the opportunities that you have given me over the years.

How can you judge?
Maybe the leopard can't change or doesn't change his spots, but he doesn't always drink from the same waterhole, nor does he take the same path daily.

Times have changed, the economy is the pits and everyone is trying to cut corners whereever they can. Everyone.

I have a Negrete's story, but not worth mentioning here. And I won't come to someones defense just because the past is involved as track records are subject to change. And the original Poster, Debby Frisk, I am sure is not just making something up to have something to post. Can I totally discount her experience? Can I call her a liar and suggest other remedies for her supposed lapse of sense or brains or whatever?

One has to assume that at least 1/2 of what a person says is true; the rest may be embellishment. Not being party to the event, having my own experience to draw upon (however sparse or full) I have to conclude there is some truth here that just may begin to be your reality in the near future.

Even when checks were bouncing from LFS there were people saying, Not true. I have great experience...etc. Need to put on your thinking caps instead of the blasting caps.

Received a call from Negretes the other day and was happy to take an assignment from them. It had been some time. But I have always thought this was a decent Signing Service to work for. Anybody that does not know this is a bad economic time and has been longer for the mortgage business needs a reality check when it comes to "cutting back"

I had a closing assigned from Tony for First Merit. The borrowers had a question regarding a fee and would not move forward until they received an answer. According to the instructions I was to contact First Merit Title. The girl on the phone would not, or could not, answer the question. She was rude and hung up. Tony stated he "stands by" his notaries and would look into this. i never heard another word. Never got another call, was removed from the website. Oh, and I did convince the borrowers into completing the signing. I was basically kicked to the curb.
Thanks Tony. Your word means nothing apparently. I tried to talk to you about this. I called you, I e-mailed you and you continued agreed I did the right thing but gave me the boot. ????

When this thread started, I had not worked for Negrete, but since have joined his 'stable', so I have a bit more knowledge than then.

Are you saying that you can no longer sign in as a notary? Or are you saying that you cannot see the work that you did? I know that once you complete your final report, everything disappears, but that is normal for many of these websites.

As for Tony not returning your calls or emails: you didn't state how long ago this was completed. Since he already said that you did the right thing, what is the problem? Are you having trust issues for some reason? You did not give enough cohesive information for any reaction other than defense of Negretes as many of us here have had only success with them.

When one is asked to help clarify a problem more information needs to be given.
