Godwing Mortgage / Area Title / CCS Settlement
Has anyone done any business for Godwin Mortgage out of Louisville, KY? I got a call from CCS Settlement (also in Louisville) earlier today, agreed to do a signing, but never got a confirmation. I called them back and they said "we're actually scheduling this for a sister company." Then they gave me the name of Jeff Davis from Godwin. The docs--which have already been e-mailed to me--came from Area Title in Louisville. Their address is the same as the one for Godwin Mortgage listed on BBB.org. So basically, all three companies are the same. Anyway, I can't find any info on Area Title or CCS, and the only thing I can find on Godwin is an F rating on BBB because of 2 unresolved complaints. So at this point, I'm not doing the closing. Any other feedback?
