LIA steals at least $7,500 from NSAs.

The State of Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has reported to me that they were unable to receive "a response" from LIA Signing Inc. regarding the non-payment complaints from SEVENTY EIGHT NSAs totaling more than $7,451.00.

Great job, LIA Signing, Inc. You managed to collect a lot more than that sum of money from the Lenders and Title Companies that hired your signing agency. I'm sure they didn't think you would scam the people you hired to do the actual signing work, but you did exactly that.
I hope they will go after you with more vigor and results than the Consumer Protection Agency of Wisconsin was able or willing to do.

Hmm...$7451/78=$95.53 per closing pkg average.

Maybe, if more NSAs would just say NO to crappy fees these scumbag SSs would be run out of biz and just go away forever...I can dream can't I?

Just say NO to NNA endorsed crap fees!

$95 average is only part of the story.

What's worse is 1/3 of the fees were between $25 and $35 (I assume they were one page modifications) while 2/3 were $100 or less. One poor soul was stuck with $490 of unpaid fees.

The con artists who ran LIA Signings Inc. should be in jail. Maybe Guantanamo would be appropriate.

"Leadership In Action" indeed

I could be wrong but that sounds like a "Christian" business slogan.

Don't get me wrong, got nothing against Christians, even mediocre ones. And I got nothing against Christians being businessmen. No problem.

But I always get a little nervous when pious folks advertise their business by telling me all about their piety.

Here's ya a general business tip that'll save you a lot of grief:

Never do business with someone that had a fish on their business card unless you're buying seafood.

Just my two denari.

Gary...What???

You pay more attention to consistent behavior (actions), treatment of others, etc. than you do words?

Hmmm...seems like somewhere I heard that actions speak louder than all the quoted scripture or pious slogans put together.
