Notary-Tools
Notary Tools; Is it worth the $25.00 one time charge? Is it safe? Or is it too good to be true. Please can anyone tell me?

A lot of bells and whistles (unecessary)... stick to basic accounting software, preferably one that prints invoices. I use Quickbooks.

I agree. IMO it's another marketing gimmick. I use Quickbooks Simple Start & it works out fine for me.

I think the name of that site shows little insight into perception of current culture.
Notary Tool Kit or Notary Toolbox would have been better.
Notary Tools...well, to me it sounds like "All notaries who pay us to use this site are "tools".
Being a "tool" is not a nice thing to be.

Now, Brenda.. "Tools" doesn't start with an "F"! Say what you REALLY mean.

I handle Customer Care for NotaryTools.net and I can officially tell you about the site.
Firstly, NotaryTools.net is as safe as a website can get. We offer Verisign 256 bit SSL, encrypt key data with AES and use Trust-Guard monitoring to ensure the integrity of the site. A click on our VeriSign or Trust-Guard logs or a call to the companies can confirm.
Secondly, a one-time fee is not unusual. The same process applies to almost every software application you can find in a store. You pay once and use. The premise of this model is that it is up to the software provider to keep up the quality of the product. We do just that.
Thirdly, we don't see the negative connotation of the word "tool" when we coined NotaryTools.net. We see a set of useful services for notaries. We see a business tool, a marketing tool, an accounting tool and an analysis tool. We see this because Notarytools.net was designed by us and we are notaries. Nothing negative about that.
Lastly, it's easy to disparage something from the outside looking in. The best source of information on NotaryTools.net is our blog (blog.notarytools.net), or our Twitter feed (twitter.com/notarytools) or our YouTube channel (youtube.com/notarytools) or our Facebook page. All these are free and do not contain unsavory marketing attempts to get you to join. They simply show what we do, what we are doing and what we continue to do.
We can't tell you if it's too good to be true. We can point out this: Our actual members, who use the site and its features are not disparaging it in forums. They are busy using it.
